We have an opening at our Berwyn location for the role of Maintenance Supervisor:
Job Summary: To manage the daily operation of maintenance department. To maintain both the departmental labor schedule as well as the Preventative Maintenance Schedule. To promote both safety and efficiency throughout the operation.
Position Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update the Preventative Maintenance Schedule. Maintain an adequate supply of spare parts for the facility.
- Maintain records regarding training and training requests from within the department.
- Maintain dialogue with supervisory level employees from other departments in order to discuss issues of common interest.
- Maintain a safe work environment. Respond to safety concerns brought forward through numerous channels.
- Be an advisor to the Plant Engineer on all issues related to the efficiency operation of the department.
- Keep and maintain files required by local, county, state and federal government bodies.
- Attend meetings, prepare reports and process documents as may be required.
- Follow up on assignments given by both Plant Manager and Plant Engineer.
- Prepare PM worksheets for hourly mechanics. Inspect PM’s performed by hourly mechanics.
- Perform daily walk throughs to inspect equipment for safety and proper running order.
- Cover for the Plant Engineer while on vacation or busy covering other duties.
- Respond to calls on off-shifts and on off-days. Communicate any/all issues with the Plant Engineer.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand, stoop, bend and crouch on a regular basis to check equipment or supplies in low-lying areas.
- Able to work in variable tempartures and humid environements.
- Able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50lbs
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or its equivalency in experience and/or training.
- 5-7 years of prior experience as a bakery Plant Engineer or Engineering Supervisor.
- Power Industrial Training Certification

- Maintenance: 2 years (Preferred)
